Wilderness.net is a partnership project of the Wilderness Institute at The University of Montana’s College of Forestry and Conservation, the Arthur Carhart National Wilderness Training Center and the Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute.
The National Scenic Byways Program is a grass-roots collaborative effort established to help recognize, preserve and enhance selected roads throughout the United States. The North Carolina page links to information about the Blue Ridge Parkway and Cherohala Skyway, plus 44 local drives in the state.
