Boat rentals at William B. Umstead State Park in Raleigh will be limited to weekends beginning July 25 because of "seasonal staff shortage," the Division of Parks and Recreation says. The boathouse will close July 11, 12, 17 and 18, and re-open on the 25th, after which it will only be open on Saturdays and Sundays.

Hours are 8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Last boat goes out at 3:30 p.m. All boats must be back by 4:30 p.m., the sate's Web site says.
