Smokies reap Stimulus money
Great Smoky Mountains National Park should get $64 million in federal Stimulus money that will go toward hiring and maintenance, says the Knoxville News Sentinel.
The money is expected to pay for up to 1,500 jobs, construction of a section of the Foothills Parkway, and work on other roads and buildings.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most visited park in the National Parks system.
