National Forests stimulus projects outlined
The U.S. Forest Service office in Asheville has released descriptions of about $10 million worth of trails and facilities projects in national forests across North Carolina to be paid for with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act money. These are in addition to $5 million worth of road and bridge projects, invasive species control and hazardous fuel removal.
This Land, Your Land had the first outline of the stimulus plan's trails and facilities projects in July and the roads and bridges work early in June.
