Carolina Outdoors Guide is compiled and written by Chris Nelson. It is based on a publication called Discover Carolina Outdoors, which Chris researched and wrote for the Display Advertising Department of The News & Observer in Raleigh, North Carolina, each year from 2004-2006. This Web version has more information than was possible to put in the printed publication, including maps, and has additional material based on Chris' visits with family and friends to the places listed. Chris is the copy editor and writer for The N&O's Display Advertising Department, where he writes and edits Living in Style magazine, several other publications, a variety of sales and Web site material and an internal Web site.
